I currently lead a wonderful group of colleagues here in the Birkbeck Business School within the subject group of People, Work and Organizational Psychology (PWOP). My career has encompassed both public and private, operational and HRM/HRD work within banking, retail, the arts and now academia. My research interests focus on the use of psychoanalytical practice and theory and the use of language / semiotics. A firm believer in supporting inter-disciplinary, emancipatory and pluralistic research, the critical use of psychoanalytic, structural and poststructuralist discursive approaches to work and organization provides endless challenges and fascination and ways of loking at 'work' awry.
